SkateNerd started as a website domain name for Journal Magazine in 1996. I was asked to art direct their 3rd issue and moved back to Philadelphia from Boston. The magazine closed its doors and a few years later Bryan Winters and I relaunched a site for SkateNerd.
Together we incorporated with myself as President. SkateNerd then served as not only a website but a store front, consulting firm, art gallery, events planning, clothing line and community centric organization. In 2007 we closed our storefront, "SkateNerd's Minnow" and Bryan has since moved to NYC.
Currently the SkateNerd site is closed. The next steps? Not sure yet. Contact me if you have any ideas.
